when he traps your bishop, just go collect the h-pawn I think?

  2. BasicPawn says:

@jesuistahmid – Good point which strong players like KC take for granted.
Its clever endgame technique. If both rooks get to the seven rank
pinning the enemy king to its first rank, then a draw can be forced.
The only way to stop this is taking the rook on b3, then you have an unstoppable
pawn, so now you lose. A sample line is as follows:
    1) Bxb7, Rc5 2) Bxc8, Rxc8 3) Rc1, Rb8 4) R(a)b1, Rb3 5) Rxb3, axb3 6) Rb1, b2
    7) Kf1, Rc2
    Excellent game.

  4. ex0duzz says:

  5. Sheendude says:

    Amazing.

  6. jesuistahmid says:

when king went to d8, why not Bxb7?

  7. Freshman000000 says:

No, not in a rude way. I should have put more into that post.

I guess I never really thought about it like that, my friends and I call it mistake tennis. Back and forth.

  8. elbay2 says:

    LOL, Really!!

  9. elbay2 says:

It just goes to show that you never know what will transpire!..

  10. trixapete says:

    very entertaining game!

  11. barsorrro says:

This was a very thrilling game. As a perpetual blunderer and squanderer of advantages I can smile and sympathise :)

    Thanks very much!

@QuakePhil Yes I would like to do a video on “What is chess” – a science, a mini-war, a struggle, a sport, game, or look into millions of possibiities, etc. I am often wondering what is chess about.

  13. kingscrusher says:

@macewindu210 Well entertaining if nothing else – I wouldn’t necessarily use the word “greatest”

  14. macewindu210 says:

This game is possibly the greatest game played this year.

  15. kingscrusher says:

@ledgeleaper Yes I found it very useful to do the video annotation. As well as some vague ideas I had of where I went wrong, i realised on two occasions I had the right ideas but could have implemented them better. I wasn’t aware of this so strongly before doing the annotation.

  16. ledgeleaper says:

Oh and I rode that roller coaster with you during both your videos!

  17. ledgeleaper says:

I have a question: Have your postings and analysis, the making of these videos, helped your game? Or is there another form of analysis that you find to be more precise?
Btw, I’m very impressed by your fair treatment of freshman. Thanks very much!

  18. QuakePhil says:

The human element in chess makes this game!!! Not _this_ game, but _the_ game of chess!!!

With computers, it becomes a mathematical equation — with humans, it becomes FUN!

  19. thechessstick says:

Nice and fun game. When you played Nxe5 I wonder if a counter “sacrifice” Ncxe4 for black would have been better?

  20. number94 says:

    Fascinating game!

  21. kingscrusher says:

Freshman you seem to have been taken badly by your comment. You didn’t mean about mistakes in a rude way did you ?! Perhaps you should clarify to everyone.

  22. mattiassollerman says:

    Enjoyable at every turn!

  23. 880330145789 says:

    great game… dramatic indeed

  24. Omeeeeed says:

    What a game ;D

  25. kingscrusher says:

Well unfortunately I had some good ideas but could have waited and paused to find better implementations, so I can’t claim to be a model thinker. I think someone once said that if you see a good move, you should wait and try and find a better one.
